Just wanted to post a quick update on my Mom... her condition worsened to the point where she had to be admitted to the hospital. They're saying kidney infection (which is what we were saying the FIRST time we went to the ER, but the doc obviously did not listen).
She's still not feeling great, even after a night in the hospital. As of now, it's 12:30 pm and a doc STILL has not been by to see her. She hasn't received anymore antibiotics other than the ones she got yesterday around 5:00 pm, and all there doing is re-hydrating her and giving her pain meds. Nobody is telling her anything. It is so ridiculous, starting with our ER visit on Saturday, but that's for another post.
Elise and I are on our way back to the hospital now... time to start kicking someone in the groin.

GEESH! So- they admit her and STILL no one has seen her???? Yeah...I'd be kickin' someone in the groin too!
ReplyDeleteOMGosh, I hope things start to get better for your mother. Thanks for the update, keep us updated and I wish that there was something that I could do for you!
ReplyDeleteGood Luck with the groin kicking, I HOPE that helps get your mother some attention!!!
I hope she starts feeling better SOON!!!
ReplyDeleteSorry Joanne. I hope things get better.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry that your Mom has been sick AND now admitted to the hospital. That is not a good way to spend time with your beautiful granddaughter! I hope she starts feeling better and you can spring her very soon - it's ridiculous that she's being treated this way!
ReplyDeleteHugs to you and the fam!
Our thoughts are with you, your mom, and family. Hospitals are frustrating! I'm sorry you have to go through this.
ReplyDeleteWhen my mom came to visit once, she fell and fractured her wrist. I hope your mom can get better soon so she can enjoy the rest of her visit (and you too).
If there were anywhere in the world where your kick groin attitude would be of benefit to your mother...it is in the hospital. She'll need you to constantly ask, to push, to make them accountable for the care they are giving her.
ReplyDeleteYour mother is in good hands with you by her side....give em heck Joanne!
In the mean time, I'll absolutely be praying for all of you. I hope she is feeling better very soon!
Oh yes joanne you must raise sand in a hospital or they will leave you there to die . I hate hospitals !!! I was just in one last wed with the hubby for kidney stones . Yuck . Horrible places hospitals . I will be praying for you and your family my dear .
ReplyDeleteKick away, Joanne! Give 'em hell!
ReplyDeleteI hope she feels better soon! That's no fun! Poor Mom! Sending her hugs and prayers!
