... The carbs you just weighed for your daughter's afternoon snack almost exactly matches the amount you pre-bolused for (and totally guessed at, not even knowing what she would pick for her snack).
You are my role-model of the type of T1D parent I want to become! I am always amazed at your judgment calls and I know one day I'll get there as well! My son was diagnosed 18-months ago, so we've still got a lot of time left to get more comfortable. Thank you for your posts!
Thank you for the sweet comment... you just made my day! Diabetes is funny that way, you can go from feeling like a freaking genius to someone who doesn't have a clue all in the same day!
I am not a doctor, nor do I play one on TV. I am just a Mom whose little girl has Type 1 Diabetes. On this blog you will find tips and advice, but it should NEVER be a substitute for your doctor's wisdom. If your child has diabetes, or you suspect that your child has diabetes, please seek the attention of a healthcare professional, and not some crazy, over-worked, frazzled, sleep-deprived nutjob who has staked out her corner of the world-wide-web-information-super-highway and is espousing her viewpoints from it.
But I think that's good advice when it comes to anything, don't you?
Have I told you lately that you do an amazing job?
ReplyDeleteYou do...
Thank you!
Awwww shucks... Thanks!
